They show it in original packaging, but what they sent was a dvd in a sleeve, with the first part of the activation code scraped off and unusable, and the win 7 dvd had CLEARLY been opened despite the fake seal on it, there were SCUFFS AND FINGERPRINTS ON THE DVD.     Not a true IP camera

    While the quality of picture is good, and great night vision this camera does have some set backs. It is designed to use with their proprietary cloud and or DVR system as I have yet to figure out how to add it to my local system ie ispy, or blue iris. There is no way to log into the camera using a browser, and it’s IP address does not show up except when logged into the router. The recording capability using their web page or mobile app is also lacking. It fails to detect motion and when it does only records one minute. There is no way to adjust time of recordings and I am missing something. I purchased it to see the quality of picture and functionality before I purchased a DVR system. I am hoping through the DVR I can marry both systems to a nice streamlined system. For the price it is a ...

    small with good image quality but lacks feature and flexibility.

    Setup: somewhat easy to do. does NOT require a code scan. you connect to it's own wifi and push your existing wfi setup to it. Access: You can only access the camera via App or Zmodo web. There's no built-in web interface. Video Surveillance: image quality is very good. However you can not access the video stream via 3rd party application like blue iris or ispy or zoneminder. I can sorta live with that but the motion captures are not great. It captures maybe 40% of the time. And some of it is false positive. this is where i have to not recommend this camera. The captures are in 4 frame image and thus doesn't really provide me with the kind of surveillance I'm looking for. I want to capture more if activity lasts longer.     We have a few of these cams.. They work real good,,, Setup is a pain.. If you need help setting it up,, the easy way is to go to youtube.. For the money,, we would give it a A+ To use this cam,, and view it one the web.. setup a meshare account,, very easy.. Hope this helps.. God Bless

    Cheap for a reason.

    These cameras are cheap. Reason for being so cheap is just that. They are a cheap piece of junk. All Zmodo products are junk. ZMODO is actually selling their cloud service (also junk) Camera video quality is really bad. Skips and stops constantly. Really slows down your internet too. So, if you want security cameras for your home, spend the little extra more and get a better product and better service.
