    Best analog compass, date, watch I could find

    I looked at every analog compass watch that I could find on line. I want a thin, analog, compass with a prominent compass hand, day/date, temperature, barometric pressure and would like altitude and depth gauge, non-metalic watch for under $1,000. I looked at up to $2,000. No such thing. Most of these watches are WAY oversized. I wanted thin, analog watch and prominent compass hand with at least date. The best I could come up with is 13mm thick with a quite large face so I bought this timex. I hope somebody makes one like I want. Seems like the current style is huge watches. I prefer ultra-thin.

    Not for old eyes.

    Nice watch if a bit on the large side. Compass function works well. The tide function takes a lot of constant adjustment depending on your latitude. This isn't a problem with the watch but is a simply the nature of this type of tide clock. The temperature function will only work when the watch is off the wrist and allowed to equalize the surrounding temperature. The only problem is that the temperature and tide scales are so tiny that that can't be read without a lot of light. Not a bad watch if you have young eyes and don't mind a very large watch. Extremely comfortable watch to wear.

    living in the back country of Montana, it is easy on a cloudy day to get turned around. The compass could be a life saver. When ocean fishing and out of site of land this watch could save your life, plus you will know by the tide when to start catching fish.

    Cool look with some gadgets.

    I was first looking for a G-Shock type watch for the temp, compass and barometer. This watch popped up during one of my searches and once I saw it I had to have it it was such a good looking piece. It is comfortable to wear. I have to wear a rubber or leather band because of hairy arms, I know gross. If I wear a metal linked band it rips my hair out becoming very painful and causes a bald spot when not being worn. The compass is nice but you need to calibrate it just about every time you want to use it, although it is pretty accurate. If you are looking for something that is good to look at, comfortable and has some cool functions this watch should meritt your consideration.
