      Morningstar controllers just work, especially in remote, dusty, and environments that just need a reliable controller

      I own several TS-45 units and they never disappoint me for my application. They can be used on 12,24, and 48v nominal battery banks without issue. Be aware these are PWM controllers, but as long as you understand system design you will get a lot of long term value. I use them to heat the greenhouse hot water system since you can set up parameters to protect the battery in load control mode. I paid $41 for a used one and happy with the purchase.

      Good for 5000btu air conditioner.

      I use this controller to power an inverter and 5000btu window air conditioner. It's able to keep up after 7am up until 6pm on a sunny summer day with just 800W of panels on a non movable frame (doesn't track the sun).
