    The Mean Well RS-15-5 was in new condition as advertised, but was inadequately packaged and arrived damaged. However, I am not faulting the seller's packaging. The item has a sheet metal cage, the forces required for the shipper to crush it were extreme. Seller promptly refunded the full purchase price and shipping costs.     Great Replacement

    My John Deere LX178 has been an excellent machine over the many years of use. It was made back when machinery was build to last. With that being said, some of the parts of this mower just deteriorate over time. The hood was the first to go. Over the many years, my 'plastic' hood has become very weak and brittle and has cracked and broken into many pieces. This would be my only complaint about this model of John Deere mower. The hood should have been made out of metal. This replacement hood was the perfect replacement piece to bring my mower's looks back to life. Perfect fit and looks great! I recommend this replacement part to anyone who has run into the same problem that I have.

    A top for a John Deere!

    We know that the plastic used in the hoods for many John Deere lawn tractors is brittle and with age it gets worst. When you come to buy a replacement, you find the price is way out of line. Our local dealer wanted over $300 for this replacement top, so finding it for $180 was a good deal. Whoever came up with this type of plastic deserves a swift kick!

    Beware! Advertised as NEW....

    This hood upper is advertised as NEW, however, the one I received was a second. It was packaged in original JD box, but several obvious blemishes were circled in white crayon directly on the hood itself. May be "new" but definitely NOT first quality JD part!

    Chinese junk

    I believe the headline was complete upper and lower hood with grill for several different john deere models first of all it came with the wrong screws for the hood hinges wich I had to fabricate second no screws were included at all to join the upper and lower hood sections wich i also had to fabricate third i didn't expected the headlights would be included but at the very least the lenses that belong on the grill. as usual another piece of junk sold in America by Americans being exploited by china
