      Costly but a solid piece of gear.

      Okay, I still think that Canon L glass is over priced in general and it is no exception with this 35mm 1.4 ii (even used). Having said this, I very much enjoy this lens. It is very well made with great picture quality, contrast and sharpness. It is also REALLY quiet, more than I anticipated, which is awesome for video. I went with Canon (and not the superb & newly released Tamron 35mm SP 1.4) because I needed weather proofing and wanted avoid compatibility issues with my gimbal (which I've encountered with 3th party lenses). In that respect, this is a perfect lens.

      Great lens. Great buy.

      These days one can purchase Canon EF L series lenses for a fraction of what they cost before mirrorless photography became popular. This lens is top of the line and has now become affordable

      This lens is an absolute dream! The shipping was faster than expected, too. Took it out of the box as soon as it got here and could already tell a huge difference in the images this prime lens makes vs any other lens i own. 100% worth it!!!

      The Sweet Side Of Shooting

      A must have in your toolkit. Gives a real life perspective of your subject. Great as a macro and for cityscapes. It’s light gathering is exceptional, but it is the crisp clean focus that makes it so sweet.
