    Sound has better bass than onboard audio. Lack of normal equalizer control.

    For the Samsung Odyssey+ it's a common issue to get crackling or distorted sound depending on your rig. Originally I was using onboard FidelityFX sound which came with the motherboard and VR tends to hog up USB ports with both the headset, BT adapter, wifi adapter, etc. I wanted to take some of the bandwidth away from USB and decided to try dedicated PCI-E sound. It had been a few months since I touched VR on account of having to encounter the sound issue and MS's spatial sound (windows sonic for headphones) is just janky. I did get a powered USB hub for the VR unit and followed all of the secret codes to eliminate the distorted sound/cracking issue common to this particular VR unit.     Inconsistent performance, decent value

    Good value when it works, but half the time it won't even produce a laser from the optical output. When that happens, you have to restart your computer until it works again, which takes upwards of 5 restarts sometimes. Very annoying for what shouldn't be a normal issue. Otherwise, this is a great value for its specs and entry price. It's just mediocre build quality.

    Best bang for your buck

    Big improvement over the onboard sound. Was only looking for the native asio support but found that the audio quality had improved over everything i had listened too. If you can hear the difference between compressed and uncompressed audio this is for you.

    I had to pick and choose drivers as it would not auto detect in widows 10 , it thinks its getting along with win 8 , It took quite a while to get it set up right but works exactly as intended.
