      WT-5220U-IT Projection Alarm Clock

      I bought this clock so I could easily see the time and the outside temperature whilst in bed. It's supposed ability to connect to the atomic clock was also very attractive, as I'm a bit of a gadget geek, and having the exact time displayed, I find attractive. The projection on to my ceiling is really excellent. There is no available focus adjustment, nor is this necessary, as the image is super sharp and clear. The display alternates between outside temperature and time of day. There is an adjustment to rotate the image through 360 degrees, 90 degrees at a time. I have to say, I am disappointed that this clock has never been able to connect to the atomic clock, which I believe is in Colorado, and not too far from here in Yuma Az. I do have another wall clock which makes the connection ...

      Needs better features.

      This item works rather well, but not up to what I am used to. If I had known that the display light does not remain on, I would never have bought it. My previous LaCrosse product crapped out after about 10 years......and I was quite satisfied with it. It would remain lit constantly, on high, dim or off as I preferred. This model is "Off" or on for "5 seconds." It sets kind of too straight up as well, making placement of the projection a little difficult to place.

      LED projection light is not very bright

      I bought this clock because of the projection feature, but the LED light is not strong enough to show on the ceiling when there is the slightest bit of light beyond the dark of night. I have it turned to the brightest setting on the clock. I am trying different places on the walls. I know that brighter LED lights are out there as I had one in the clock I had previous to this one. That clock stopped working, hence the need to buy a new one. As far as the clock goes, everything works perfectly.

      Better Than Most

      OK, this item costs more but the quality and features are significantly better than those costing half as much. My only critique is that the projection numerals have a "glow" around them; distracting + lights up more of the ceiling too. Maybe a minor issue, but it really should not be there IMHO. Overall satisfied, with qualifications.

      Love this projection time/temp.

      Love this projection time/temp on ceiling of our bedroom. At glance u will see time than outside temp. Just replaced this unit after having same for 4 years due to accidently breaking the led display. Actually bought 2 units for both bedrooms. A great unique gift idea. Can also adjust the brightness ceiling projection, I use the brightest setting. The projection is easily seen. I Don't use the alarm function. Getting the unit initially started is a little challenge but just follow the directions step by step and take your time.
