      Excellent Detail Parts

      I bought a "junker" caboose, for short money, that had no ladders, smokestack or windows. I had material to put in windows, but had to buy a smokestack and the ladders. I drilled holes to install and secure the ladders with a touch of CA cement and they went on with ease and look great. I recommend these Athearn ladders for any application requiring ladders. They can easily be trimmed or cut depending on the application. The smokestack is also by Athearn and I like it as much. Excellent detail parts !

      Original Manufacturer Part

      These ladders are original manufacturer parts. Under normal use, these ladders are durable enough. However, from time to time you develop a case of all thumbs and break ladders on cabooses. These parts allow you to replace broken ladders, which is why I bought them. Two are used on a caboose. I hope not to use all of them right away. Depending on the color paint used on a caboose, you may have to paint them to match.

      Athearn Caboose Ladders

      This is a great way to repair a caboose with damaged or missing ladders. It is difficult to bend a straight ladder to have the arched curve at the top and purchasing these ladders from Athearn gives you an authentic look without a lot of work. I upgraded this old caboose kit with the Athearn ladders.

      Much needed parts for our club cabooses

      These were parts that I needed to repair Athearn Cabooses for our train club. You can’t buy these in local hobby shops, because they’re all gone now due to the internet sales. But, these were a much needed parts for our clubs HO club cabooses.
