The cloth is appropriate however the stitching along the edge may have some polyester rather than cotton threading which is not current to the time period. This comes from a florescence under UV light when viewed from the side. It is a 50/50 chance of being a period piece. Two ether pieces were period and the cost versus value was well worth the purchases excellent seller with fast shipping good protective packaging on all items as described.
