Simple and good for personal entertainment
The Sony MDR-ZX110 ZX Series Headphones have very good sound quality for personal enjoyment of music and movies. They have a balance in the EQ, not to sharp and not too much on the bass frequencies. You get a solid crisp sound and with the over the ear styling, the padding is good enough though after about an hour your ears will get tired of having them on. They feel a little plasticky and fragile but the folding helps to keep them flat and safe for storage without worrying that you will break the plastic material that honestly feels cheap. The cable is none entangling and that is such a relief for someone who has used other models with the same design. Though the cable feels bulky, i bet it will last much longer than my previous pair of headphones. Having said that, they are a good bet ... Good for the $$$.
Bought for listening to TV at nite. Had to stretch them out to fit my head. Highs are pretty much non existent (just compared them to my Sony studios). For $15 to lay on the couch, I can't complain. Oh, each side has a seperate wire making them cumbersome.

Almost great, but worth it for the price
These headphones almost have everything. They sound good (not amazing) and they are comfortable (but start to hurt the top of my head and ears after about an hour). They are also very lightweight, although they don't fold like some other portable headphones; with these, only the ear cups turn. A few other things to note: I can't seem to get the cord to straighten out completely, and the headband protrudes out slightly on the sides, so they only look good on certain head types. All of this is nitpicking though: for the price point, these are a great buy, and I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.These headphones almost have everything. Good for low cost phones - Need lots of hair or a cushion
These Sony earphones are good for a low cost set. Sound quality is a nice, balanced arrangement - not a lot of base, but very good on vocals. My only complaint is with the headband. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of hair on top, and the cross band is very uncomfortable after 5 minutes as it contacts the top of the head. You can adjust the headset, but then it "flops", so have to live with minor pain. All in all, worth the low price.These Sony earphones are good for a low cost set. Bold sound in a comfortable light weight package.
I am pleasantly surprised at these headphones. I have much more expensive headsets that do not reproduce the fidelity of these headphones. They are comfortable for extended periods of listening and fold away into an easy to store in a desk drawer package. Thank you Sony for a fine product at a reasonable price.
