The copper core, an efficient conductor of heat, quickly pulls the heat up and into the metal heat sink, so the heat can be quickly and efficiently, dissapated away. Using a fan shroud, I am going to attach another larger fan, to the top of the 80 mm fan. My plan is to position the intake for the second fan, in a cooler pocket of air, within in my case. Also, the exhust from this muffin fan, will further cool the stuff around my CPU.
