I had a lazy boy which lasted for 10 years. This one will also do well. It is not made for short people. The lowest setting is a bit higher than a standard chair. I am 5'11" and it is perfect at the lowest setting. It is comfortable for long periods. I have been sitting in it for 6 hours now and still no problems.
