The flint that came in was perfect for that. Rich and dark. I tested it with a low carbon steel striker and a high carbon steel striker. All testing produced rich hot sparks and the flint kept its edges sharp for more use. Cheap flint will not perform like that. Outstanding!!! Will absolutely buy from again.
