This type of machine is much more complicated than most and so I generally consider them a 2 year item (we go through much ice). Compared to a commercial machine (which I work on), it’s more cost effective for personal use to buy and replace these every year or two (assuming you don’t need the commercial capacity).

We’ve been using it for about a week and absolutely love it. The ice is the crunchable kind that is perfect for chewing. It’s great in drinks and it really does make ice in 15 minutes!!
