    Good Beginner's Kit

    Customize-able kit, designed to use a wide variety of fin configurations - it's up to the builder. Fins are made from heavy card stock; with a plastic nose cone it's an easy build. No balsa to seal; sanding is minimal. Great for streamer duration or altitude contests; learn about drag and how the number of fins - and how they're attached to the body tube - make a difference in performance. Flies on 18mm standard motors :A, B, or C. I recommend sticking to A and B motors to increase the chance of getting the rocket back after a flight. A C motor is a bit much for this lightweight model. Unless you don't mind walking / driving to the next county to get it back.

    Viking Model Rocket

    The kit arrived and my grandson and I began putting the pieces together. Assembly of the rocket model was good for an eight-year-old and before long it was ready to paint. We used Weldwood carpenters wood glue and white spray paint. It looked gook, and the adhesive decals stuck to the paint nicely. Then came the real test. An A3-5 Estes rocket motor and igniter. Stand-by, 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 Blastoff! What fun.

    whiz bang

    Great for teaching your kids how to glue together a small rocket and install its inner parts. The interest for most kids is the time to ignite and away it goes. My son loves taking the time to assemble, then see what it does when it goes up. We love it when he goes to see if he can catch it before it hits the ground.
