    Berlin Noir is a most interesting book. The time frame is 1936 in Berlin. Hitler is on the rise and the 1936 Olympics are imminent. The central character is aan ex-cop and curen private detective on assignment. Riveting read.

    Berlin Noir

    A good insight into life in Berlin and Germany before, during and just after WW II through the eyes of a cynical detective. Kerr weaves fiction into and around actual people (much like John Jakes does). Much slang of the day; much Berlin geography as it was at the time. Well worth reading for a WW II history buff or political science buff.
