Having said that they are comfortable, fit well and easy to put on without the use of a zipper. If you want a shoe that protects your feet and at the same time gives you a tactile sense of the terrain you're on, these fit the description. Most boots do not give you that sense, even many hiking boots. These boots are an excellent value and well constructed.
