It is a light cotton fabric that is slightly transparent. I like to wear it layered over a tighter fitting shirt. The back of the shirt has a tailored pleat that was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. This makes it look very nice when you tuck the front in and leave the back hanging loose over your jeans.
