      Good water temp even in winter

      Its a good medium duty water heater. I insulated all my PEX pipe tubing. Its about a 40 ft. run from the water heater to the shower and so it takes about 30 seconds for the water to reach the shower head. The shower head probably puts out more than 2 gal/min, so i have to turn the hot water volume down just a little to keep the temp up to where i like it. The water comes out of the well pump at around 49 degrees so this heater has got to increase the temp by around 56 degrees to keep the water at 105 degrees. So far It works satisfactory and this is December so it should work really good the rest of the year.

      Misleading

      This water heater cannot handle 4.4 gallons per minute. It could not even keep up with my shower or kitchen faucet. It requires a lot of power too. It takes two 40 amp breakers and 8 guage wire to power the elements. When it cannot keep up, it flashes an error code and the troubleshooting guide suggests putting a flow regulator that limits it to 2 gallons per minute (less than half its advertised capacity).

      WORKS FINE. BUT IT IS NOT AS EASY TO INSTALL AS THEY IMPLY. THEY COULD HAVE PROVIDED MOUNTING SCREWS.

      You have to give it a try Im amazed but happy.

      I was as skeptical as anyone would be about one of these tank-less water heaters.But the Rheem RTX-18 Is without a doubt the real deal.Just do yourself a favor because there is absolutely no way around this part.Use 2 40Amp breakers I tried 2 30A's and it just will not do.I even tried a 30 and a 40.And yes I'm a glutton for punishment lol.Anyway get you one I'm sure you'll enjoy it.I will never go back to a tanked type.Oh and the one I have does accomadate my whole house.
