    Semi Direct Fit Exhaust Flange Repair Flex Pipe Replacement Kit w/ Gasket FX2026

    Excellent piece!. Extremely well made and great price. Fixed the exhaust on my 2004 Ford Taurus and replaced the OEM flex joint that had failed. Perfectly sized to fit the OEM exhaust pipe and flange. Only improvement suggestion would be to include 2 bolts, washers, and nuts for the flange as mine were corroded beyond belief and required a trip to the store. The directions say it must be welded so I MIG welded it in place. Not the easiest while on jack stands (a lift would have been nice). I'm sure this would have been a several hundred dollar repair at an exhaust shop which this avoided.

    2005 Taurus Flex Pipe Replacement

    The part went in very straight forward and it was a lot cheaper than a new catalytic converter; however, I did find two issues. First, the tail end (the part the pipe fits into) is short and it took me almost as long to get a clamp on it as to do the rest of the repair - to include chiseling off the old bolts! If that extension was just a half-inch longer this repair would have been done in less than an hour. Second, in addition to the gasket that goes between the flange, there is a second compression gasket that goes in a recess in the flange. I was not aware of this and that part is not included in the kit. I was most disappointed when I fired the car up and it sounded like nothing had been done.
