The main downside is that it comes totally unassembled, and takes quite awhile to put all the pieces together. Also, the instructions could be more thorough and more clear. And the different length screws should be marked with the corresponding letter on each separate package. I used the wrong length screws at first and had to remove them on the first piece I started putting together. It looks nice when finished and has nice thick cushions.
