However, it was left on our front steps on Sunday in an OPEN plastic bag, with no additional shipping protection!! I assume it was left by Amazon, a company I NEVER BUY FROM.     Good Design & Works Well

    So far, so good. I've only had the product for a month and half, so I can't yet vouch for it's durability over time. The lid design is great. You can lift it open in a conventional manner or swing it forward. The action of the lid is nice and smooth (it has springs built into it). It's a good size, and the compost bags fit perfectly. The color doesn't really fit in with our kitchen, so I covered it in wood grain contact paper and it looks great. I used the self adhesive mounting clips to attach it to the side of our butcher block, it has remained stuck to the side of the butcher block up to this point. I hope this bin lasts for years, because I really like it so far.
