    Disappointing Movie, but Brando Shines

    Probably one of the most disappointing Movies from the bygone era I have watched. Read the 'hype', Brando sought for the role of the Escapee (went to Redford). Can understand Brando going with Sheriff - much more screen time and opportunities to act. Thankful I did not experience the Suburban Life depicted herein. Immorality, infidelity, drunkenness, violence. Hard to believe. One of the worst roles I've seen Robert Duvall play in. Angie Dickinson & Brando the only Souls with any humanity to display - with the exception of Redford, who's screen time is remarkably short. Fonda? A non-entity, empty role. The Rich Father & Spoiled Son angle? Weak. A surprise to see the Rich Father Actor's name escapes, but played the Rich Widower of the murdered Adulteress Wife in Absolute Power... Can only ...
