      Great price for this system.

      So far, it appears to be a good machine. Has nice heat control and heat displays. The instructions are very limited and do not show how to attach the heat gun holder or tell you what the little handle and wire are for. I assume the handle and wire are for lifting chips once they are de-soldered? I pretty much figured out how to mount the holder and verified that by the picture from the Ebay listing. Also, in the instructions it says to use an air flow setting of 1-5 but there are no numbers on the airflow knob, only 33 increment marks, so not sure where 1-3 is. At the third increment mark there is very little airflow so I just winged it. There is also a couple tags that tell you to "Remove the pump securing screws(M5X10 Marked). None of the screws were marked and I had to remove the ...

      All around good soldering iron

      I have used Weller products for over 50 years and this one was no disappointment. It heats up in seconds to whatever setting you select. The iron itself is a little light in weight. I had expected a more substantial heft-and-feel but I think I'm just used to older irons which are a bit heavier. It appears that the Weller tip will have the same nearly endless life as their past models. I wish they had made the stand integral with the electronic control box because the stand is so light by itself that it wants to move around on my bench when I wipe the tip or park the pencil. The cord is well made and appears to be quite tough but not stiff. I really think this soldering iron setup will do everything I need to do and it does justice to the Weller name.

      I must say that I am very satisfied with the quality of the unit, I only have one MAJOR COMPLAINT, and that is NO PLACE WAS IT MENTIONED IN THE USER MANUAL, ABOUT REMOVING 2 SHIPPING SCREWS UNDERNEATH_BEFORE USING!!! Lucky I watched a video on yuou tube about the unit. Although I did turn it on for a couple of minutes,to make sure it was not DOA. Other than that it is NICE!!! With the solder iron I had before you had to turn it all the way up and wait for about 15 minutes and even than it had a difficult time melting thick solder. But this unit melted even the thickest solder @ the Half/way mark. Outstanding. One other small note: When it is plugged into power there is a slight HUM, which appears to be Normal.

      Awsome Buy...

      Have been looking for a soldering station for some time now, they were all priced out of this world. Then i ran into this one..Checked it out and thought it was a typeO in the price and put it on my watch list..came back and saw that alot of people were purchasing it and gave in and thought(what the ...) i,ll just buy it and see what happens. Well, for one, i recieved it faster than they promised..was delivered in a couple of days and right away i checked it out..works great, its an item that is comparable to the high priced units out there. Hope it lasts me a long time, looks like its made well and functions very good
