And it was as the pictures show. The shipping seemed a bit high. I love the large size for letting sourdough mixtures rise, it will be a very useful bowl. The gashes that are shown in the picture are quite deep. I don't recall seeing anything about that in the description, but I think I can sand them down with a file or something.
