This model has the date on the front screen & doesn't have a screen showing the average resting heart rate, I have to look on the phone. There are also some additional features on this one. I have been using it for 2 days & it seems to be working fine. The only complaint about the alta HR is the fact that the screen is very dim in bright sunlight & difficult to see.
