      Thin, spindly wire snake

      I was trying to fix my toilet for as cheaply as possible and kind of knew what I was getting when I bought this item. To use it, I threaded it through a 3-foot section of pvc pipe I found in the garage, then pushed the end into the toilet's drain until the entire length of it was in there. Turning the handle doesn't really do anything except twist up the wire more. I repeated this three times and it did remove the obstruction, for which I was overjoyed; but, just be forewarned that this is a very thin, not very substantial snake that will not be as effective as a real closet auger.
