The appearance of the plastic as well as the color matches the rest of my camera. It fits my lens really well! Any debris or dust on your lens' bayonet will give it a gritty grindy noise but after cleaning the groves it fits like a glove with no problem. After mounting it a about a dozen times there's no scratches or wearing on the plastic. Mounts backwards for storage too! Great value for the price ++
