We utilize them in our two Passports and it helps serve as a means to secure a ScanGauge inside the vehicle. See the pics as have a ScanGauge II attached to the first Storage Box we purchased and now a ScanGauge III to the newest one. Scotch Mount Double-Sided Mounting Tape "Extreme" 24 lb. holds the ScanGauges solid to the box and withstands the heat/humidity.
