Heavy aluminum construction with a good amount of cushion. Great little "bench grabber" hooks to hold it in place. Sturdy enough to allow bigger individuals to feel comfortable when resting your back. Absolute MUST for those state park picnic tables that feel like they are made of granite. The truly only draw back is they are really too deep for the average bleacher, they do not allow the clearance for leg room of the person behind you.
