I bought this as a gift because people admired my vintage one. That is why the old used ones go for twice the price I am guessing. I did not weigh them , but my old one is quite a bit heavier. I also had to file a bit from the top to get the top to work easily. It will work, but doubt it will work for 40 or 50 years like the one I have. Yes, I am old!
