    Good product

    This little tape recorder reminds me of an original Walkman in design. It plays tapes well and has an auto reverse feature which makes flipping tape over unnecessary. The am FM radio is a bonus. I bought it to play my old audiobooks which I hadn't heard in years. I would buy this for a friend.

    Has defects that have now rendered it almost entirely unusable..

    The 'play' button is very difficult to use. You have to press it down very hard in order to engage the mechanism. Also, the speed of play is a little sluggish and some musical items are therefore slightly distorted. Update: the volume control is not working properly. Very low volume even at the highest setting. .

    Only Buy For The Player

    It plays cassettes great and the built in speaker sounds decent. The only problem is the built in microphone, it recorded my voice at a very low volume, but it recorded AM/FM ok. Perhaps my unit is a little defective or the mic is just cheaply made. Wish it had a jack for external mic, but oh well. It does play tapes reliably and therefore, I'll keep it.
