    Great lens

    I bought this so I wouldn't have to carry 2 lenses all the time. 18mm to 270mm covers just about any situation I'll find myself in. I've had it for a couple of weeks now and I've been averaging 150 to 200 shots a day with it on my Sony A57. The autofocus is exact even though it takes a little longer to focus than my old Minolta lenses. I can live with that. The images are sharp and clear. I really like this lens and recommend it highly.

    Nice travel lens

    I bought this for traveling western US states. Didn't want to change lenses when hiking. Very versatile and smooth operation. I especially like the lock to keep it from extending when hanging down. Decent pictures for the price.

    Tamron 18-270 mm lens

    I am not that happy with the lens, come to find out the model year is 5 years old, the pictures are not clear and crisp I am disappointed. The pictures look grainy and not totally clear. The original lens actually takes better pictures.
