Z-offset and leveling is automatically determined and works well. My only issue is that Cura doesn't want to allow it go print faster than 150mm/s, and I'm still trying to figure out why. However, that is probably a Cura issue and not a printer issue. Anyway, I love this printer! Shipped fast, no problems.
