    TheThe title "The Fiery Cross" is an invitation to find out by reading what is a very lengthy book. Not for the short stay fanatic.

    This series by Diana Gabaldon is outstanding. Beautifully researched into the Scottish culture, history, and language. It is an improbable story that is fascinating because of the main characters and her story telling genius. Ms. Gabaldon has a fantastic imagination and great writing and story telling skills. I recommend this series

    Experience America in the 1770's

    The Outlander books are engaging and informative. Diana Gabaldon, the writer, is exceptional, The Fiery Cross, is the fifth book in a series of nine and gives the experience of living in America in the 1770's. Her characters are fascinating especially Jamie and Claire as their lives and love mature. Her first book, Outlander, was like a dear friend I couldn't let go of. Each book has been a rewarding journey and adventure. I recommend starting from the first book for the most rewarding experience.

    Well written and very descriptive. Highly suggest either watching Seasons 1 & 2 or reading books 1 & 2 before tackling any others. Lots of background that is important to the whole story. Huge books - nearly 1000 pages.
