      Waste of Time & Money!

      Being very pleased w/ my Hoont Bug Zapper hanging unit, I was hopeful about this bulb ... but, it's a real joke! It's well constructed but that's all it has going for it. The outer 'grill' (purple cage part of this bulb) has small 'louvers' so larger insects cannot get inside to come into contact w/ the 'electrocuting element'; it only kills small pests--as that's all that can get inside of this bulb. Gypsy Moths are a problem in the desert but this light won't be killing them! All bugs & insects are attracted to this UV bulb, which is a huge problem since the 'louvers' are too tiny to allow all but small insects inside (to be zapped). It even attracts Pincher Bugs that posted themselves on the outside wall, huddled around the light fixture ... YUCK!! I HAD the bulb in my front porch light ...
