Synopsis
When Young Fu arrives with his mother in bustling 1920s Chungking, all he has seen of the world is the rural farming village where he has grown up. He knows nothing of city life. But the city, with its wonders and dangers, fascinates the 13-year-old boy, and he sets out to make the best of what it has to offer him. First published in 1932, Young Fu of the Upper Yangtze was one of the earliest Newbery Medal winners. Although China has changed since that time, Young Fu's experiences are universal: making friends, making mistakes, and making one's way in the world.

I bought a new, shrink-wrapped journal from this seller. It arrived inside a bubble pack mailer from the US Postal Service and then another plastic envelope. It had a dent in the bottom of the cover, which it did not have in the listing picture, so that occurred in transit. It should have been packed in a box to prevent such damage. However, the seller promptly gave me the partial refund I asked for & was courteous. Would buy from seller again, but specify the packing I want ahead of shipping.

There was a mix up with my order and I did not receive the item. I got to keep the item i did receive and my money was refunded. This seller is obviously very honest and open and I totally commend them for that. They want to make sure that the customer is satisfied. It is not always that you come across these type of people any more. If you are in need of a book, please shop here first.
