    Yup, a brand-new, genuine Briggs & Stratton factory replacement part.

    The title should be all you need to know. It's an OEM part, made to OEM specs and fits perfectly. Due to the vintage, I was expecting metal. But it's plastic, which is fine, as it appears to be glass-reinforced nylon (a strong, high-quality composite). It's quite rigid and should prove more than adequate for it's purpose. It fits perfectly and went-on easily with the included attaching hardware (two screws). I'm glad to have found it here (especially for such a reasonable price), as this is an obsolete part that's getting scarce. Very pleased with this purchase.
