    The best image for your buck.

    This is a great value for anyone interested in sharp images. While there are drawbacks to using an M42 lens mount and adapter on a modern DSLR, this lens absolutely rocks in the image quality department. Granted the lens is "slower" at f4.0. I will also give you the point that the M42 mount makes it more of a manual exercise when capturing an image. However, the results are amazing. This lens is crisp, contrasty, and provides even exposure from corner to corner. This lens along with the M42 SMC 100mm f4.0 Macro are my two favourite lenses for capturing great images.
