        Great cooler for Phenom processors

        This is a great asset to anyone using some of the older Phenom II X4 or X6 processors, it just keeps the CPU incredibly cool. Easy to install for AMD, but a little tricky at first, otherwise no problems. Would definitely recommend this for that processor line. Under load, temps are 93 degrees, about 87 under general idle. Use good thermal paste if you change out your CPU, the stuff that came with it was great.

        Cools well but mounting system is a piece of junk

        The mounting system on this cooler could result in a cracked cpu. Just take my word as a mechanical engineer, the way this cooler mounts leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of uneven stress on the cpu can easily occur with this mount system. Another problem is that the mounting system requires removing the factory cpu backing plate to use the cheap quick release mounting bracket. I didn't use the 4 quick release pins but instead mounted it with screws to the sturdy motherboard backing plate. I wish I hadn't bought this one.

        good for money, but the fan blade shroud is flimsy and breaks easily

        It fits many oem cases like hp and dell. It is quiet, but I have yet to run thermal tests. be careful to treat the fan blade cover carefully.

        GETS THE JOB DONE

        When I got it , It got kind of confusing at first on what to do as far as the product Assembly. Just my opinion. But other than that I feel that this is a buy that will be worth the time. It is huge!!! Make sure you have the room in your pc and/or "case" because , well like I said , It is big. Works great. I have no complaints .

        Cool & Quiet & Simple. What more can one ask?!

        Amazingly quiet. Fairly easy to install in a 1151 chipset though it was a little tricky to get in the middle notch of the 3 'holes'. It's funny that this cooler can work on a 775 chipset but none of my 775 coolers that I have and love will fit in a 1151. Just as well though this is quieter than any of them and does a great job. The fan blows into the fins and can't be reversed even if I wanted to so I positioned the cooler to blow out the back of the case. The fan housing just barely fits over the RAM with the normal sized heatsinks. My i5-8400 runs really really cool if the Gigabyte app is to be believed -- under 35C on idle while the rest of the MB is at 43. Also my case and ram and MB and fans all have a black/white (with a splash of blue) theme so this fit right in!
