On a sidenote, an old one that I have, lived in the fuel tank for over 60 years, which eventually over time has an effect on the accuracy of the reading that it sends to the fuel gauge. It was inaccurate at a few different places on the scale. Good reason to replace, and keep an accurate and working sender in your vehicle.
