    It’s Gibralter, so, it’s gonna be serviceable, and it is. My complaint would be the piece that attaches to the cymbal arm. It’s about 1/2” deep, tops. Not much holding this thing onto the arm. Shoulda just bought another arm and clamp unit. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Great addition to any kit or percussion setup!

    I have two of these and use them both regularly in my playing. They DO NOT have to be mounted on a cymbal stand/tilter. Both of mine are mounted to my rack using standard rack clamps attached to the bottoms...there's enough room. Well built and meant to last...I can't imagine how you'd ever tear one up short of running over it. T-bar "tuner" at bottom works great, is easy access, and very handy. I think this unit deserves every bit of 5 stars.

    Hi-Hat revolution

    Since in many music genres, the hi hat is mostly played closed, quietly, as a time keeping device, there is little need for the historic hi hat stand, serving primarily to open and close the cymbals. Placing this device on the right side, or even near the center of the kit, eliminates having to play on the hi-hat cymbals with arms crossed over each other. This enables great freedom of movement. Traditionalists will will decry this change, while others welcome it. The next step may be to eliminate the hi-hat cymbals entirely and tap out the rhythm on a simple piece of metal giving a similar sound while economizing on the space required. This is an inexpensive devise and one that is well worth trying on your kit.

    Very handy ...

    I love the mount, I use it as a side hi hat for my 13" hats under another cymbal ... Well worth the money and could even use it on gigs if you didn't want to bring a hi hat stand ...

    Nice trash set up
