The connectors that come with typical deck/path light are the cheapest and don't last. Edishine uses the same principle of piercing the cable insulation, but the body of the connector is beefed up to the extreme! There is no wire stripping required. But make sure that the teeth that pierce the power supply cord are lined up before closing the latch. It's mostly self-aligning, but you want to look to make sure.
