    Good for the price

    I got a really good deal on this - so keep that in mind as you read this. The sliders are a little stiff and the effects knob feels like its about to fall off. Also, channel 4 distorts really bad through the main and through the monitor headphones. All that being said - did I mention I got a really good deal on it. Plus, I only need two channels, so for now it works fine.

    Great sound, and great versatility.

    Great mixer, simply a MAJOR step about the DJM-400. Only wished I had purchased the DJM-600 as the 600 had a sampler. But a great product, with great sound... sent my digital signal through the DJM-500's analog circuitry and it sounded better!!! Wish I had bought the DJM-600 instead. Pioneer is an unbelievably solid product.
