A number of holes weren’t drilled, yet the screws self tapped with pressure. It’s new and no scratches, however it wasn’t level once assembled. Meaning it wabbels on a flat surface. I simply placed felt “feet” on two opposite corners and it leveled out. I’m assuming use will level it as well. The bench is nice looking. I consider the value lower than anticipated yet would recommend the bench.
