With this Sony DAVTZ140 system, you can set up a complete home cinema. This type of 300w DVD player has an HDMI video output. This allows it to send a high-quality video to your television. You can also connect this DVD machine to your desktop or laptop computer for viewing movies. The 5.1-channel surround sound allows you to hear action from every direction in the room. Your DVDs will undergo upscaling when the systems are connected to the built-in USB port. This allows you to enjoy excellent image quality. If you have an older television, it also features composite input. This set of accessories also works with your cameras. Just plug in your digital cameras to the USB's port and view your JPEGs, MPEG4s, and other digitized files.This kit includes two 50-watt front speakers, two 50-watt surround speakers, and one 50-watt center speaker. You can arrange these audio accessories around your room on shelves, on the floor, or mount them onto a wall. In addition to the five speaker units, this kit includes a 50-watt subwoofer. Its amplifier delivers 300 watts of power at 1 KHz and 8 ohms resistance. The total harmonic distortion is just 10%, allowing you to hear music without any hum or static.Set the tone for the celebration using the HDMI or composite connections built into the DAV-TZ140's speakers. Listen to your favorite playlists from an iPod or MP3 player capable of linking through the USB port.     Nice for the money

    It's hard to find a reasonably priced home theater "system" with all the features you want. This one had 90% of what I was looking for. The DVD player plays everything I've thrown at it so far, including "back-up" DVD-R movies. My biggest disappointment (s) are you cannot tone down the base, adjust the speaker volume independently, nor fine tune the frequency ranges through the equalizer function, and there are very limited audio inputs from other sources. Although the system claims to be 300 watts, when the surround selection is made for movies, the volume seems to be a far cry from that claim. Thankfully I have a moderate size living room.     Nice Product

    Great product for the price. Pros: good sound and price. Plus DVD system comes with input connection for auxiliary sound. Cons: The USB port does not play video files, only pic and music. Overall: for the price of the item, it justifies the quality which I was impressed. Keep in mind you can always pay more and get less.

    Perfect replacement for our current system

    We purchased and loved this same system years ago, it has performed flawlessly until the disc eject mechanism failed recently. Trying to find a similar replacement was not going well from the size, price and feature standpoint. I took a chance and did a search on eBay and found this new unit which was an exact replacement. All good, I replaced the receiver/player and we are back in business with extra speakers!! It was brand new, in the original box, we could not be happier with the product or the seller.

    Refurbished, but very much like new in appearance and sound

    This system works great. It is my second purchase of this system, now I have two. One is on my projector system, the other on my big screen TV. They both came carefully packaged. No handbook, but easy to hook up because the speaker wires are color coded.

    great value

    its great system for the price, i bought it because i didnt like the speakers on my tv and this system changed that, but the only thing i didnt like about it is that it only has only one audio rca input, no digital audio input, so to connect it to my 4k tv i needed converter, other than that its great system and great value for the $$
