    Great phone with a small profile

    Oldest iphone that still works with the newest operating system, and it's a LOT cheaper than anything newer. I prefer the smaller phone to something the size of a small tablet. I can actually fit this in my pocket. It came loaded with the original software from 5 years ago so it took pretty much all day to upload all the software upgrades to the current version 12. but once done it works great. This is my 3rd 5s and they're getting harder to find. I have a bad habit of working on ladders with my phone, and while they're rugged enough for most abuse in a Defender case it seems a 20 foot drop is about the biggest blunt force shock it can take before I'm looking for another one....

    Was not functioning as well as advertised.

    The battery reader/battery reader is malfunctioning. I never really have a good idea of how much battery I have left since it will drain to 1% very quickly (in a single day without any use, internet connection, or sim card inserted) except that 1% percent will persist for quite a long time. My guess is that the battery reader is faulty, but it certainly makes the phone stressful to carry. Furthermore, I was led to believe that this phone model would be phased out in November of this year. However, AT&T has notified me that they will not activate this model phone. I bought a replacement phone and sim card that can't be used, and the phone doesn't function well enough to use simply as an mp3 player or source of podcasts, audiobooks, or various wi-fi downloads.
