    Used on my video shoot recently

    I just used my new Tascam DR-40X on a video shoot with an interview. I shoot on a Canon 5D Mark II and the audio is poor. I had a shotgun mic plugged into input 1 XLR. I used duel record mode and it worked great. We used a clap board and it was easy to sync. Great little audio recorder.

    I absolutely love it! I can't believe I even have it. It's so cool to record onto an SD card with the built in mics. I put it close to my JBL 8 speaker and it's just so cool light weight and portable and I really like the quality of tascam.

    an excellent and easy to use recorder

    I use this internal mic with the xlr inputs for instruments. sounds is great and interface is relatively easy as well. it took a bit of digging to learn how to use all 4 inputs to record at once, and how to mix those individual levels, but after that learning curve youre set
