    Best CD player for listening to books

    This is a sturdy, easy to use CD player. I've accidentally dropped it several times and it's always continued playing; usually continuing right where I'd left off. My favorite feature of this player is the ability to turn it off in the middle of listening to a book and resume playing later where I left off. Every new CD player I tried out did not have this feature, and I'd have to remember my location when I stopped listening for the day. The other wonderful feature is how long the battery lasts. It's listed for 50 hours; I've never measured it, but it's clearly longer playing than any other model I've ever used.

    Sony cd Walkmans are the best

    If you're gonna buy a portable cd player in this day and age, Sony is the only way to go. The refurbished/used players work better and last longer than the overpriced brand new players from companies no one has ever heard of.
