The only possible improvement I could think of is if the included a drill bit in the package, because I ended up have to go with the hole-trough-the-desk mounting option and needed a bit to make the hole.

We have 6 or 8 of these in our offices and they work well with monitors, in some cases, up to 32 inches. But the key factor is not size but weight with not to exceed about 8.5 to 9.0 pounds. So far we haven't had any gas springs give out over the last two years so we're happy with this specific model.
